support world-wide Christian television programs in different languages. Good News Network International and Excom Group officials told BosNewsLife that Hungary is set to become a major hub to reach especially Europe as well as parts of Africa and Asia with the Gospel.

"Hungary will be a main staging post for content storage, distribution and language dubbing," confirmed Kenny Russell, Excom’s Managing Director.

MEDIA CENTER

News about the language plans comes after BosNewsLife already revealed last month that Budapest will see the creation of a Christian media center this year, that could provide up to 150 jobs.

It is expected to support different networks with studio and broadcast facilities such as satellite links and other modern technologies, including broadband.

"The studio and a fiber optic control center will be in a building adjacent to Gerbeaud, one of Hungary’s most prestige and historic cafe’s, in the heart of the Capital," said Attila Balla, the President of Good News Network International.

50 CHRISTIAN FILMS

He stressed it was necessary to move to larger premises as "so far over 50 Christian films have been dubbed into Hungarian," for broadcasters and other distributors. They also include The Visual Bible, containing the books of Matthew and Acts, which is released throughout Europe.

Balla suggested his company also wants to help Christian networks with information programs. "We have received permission from the Hungarian authorities to broadcast world and Christian news in several languages with Hungarian subtitles," he explained.

THE GOD CHANNEL

GOD Digital, parent company of the well known The GOD Channel and The Revival Channel, denied Tuesday January 15 that it is involved in the media project, but said it keeps all options open.

Broadcasting Christian programs in and from Hungary is a relative new phenomena in this post Communist and mainly Catholic nation.

Hungary’s first democratic elections were held in 1990, after decades of Communism when Christi were discouraged to spread the Gospel, and encouraged to follow a more atheistic worldview.
