non-governmental organizations will discuss anti-Semitism at a conference next week, the organization said Tuesday June 10.

The meeting, June 19 and 20 in Vienna, "will address anti-Semitism and its manifestations in Europe, Central Asia and North America, and the role of governments and civil society in promoting greater tolerance," the OSCE announced in a statement.

It comes amid growing concern about increased anti-Semitism and attacks against Jewish targets not only Israel itself, but also in Central and Eastern Europe as well as Africa.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, which takes over the Chairmanship from the Netherlands at the end of this year, is among the keynote speakers at the event.

Nobel Peace Prize winner, Elie Wiesel, and the Chairman of the Holocaust Educational Trust and Vice President of the World Jewish Congress, Lord Janner of Braunstone , have also been invited, the OSCE said.

Later this year, the OSCE will host another conference focusing on ‘Anti-Racism, Discrimination and Xenophobia’. That event is scheduled to be held on September 4 and 5, also in Vienna.
